Hello
everyone Semonti here again at The Element Craft Studio blog with my 2nd
post. Today I’m sharing a colorful 3d mixed media project a bird house.
Products
are listed below which I’ve used in my project and all of them from TECS.
3. Fences 1
4. Chalk paints
5. Glimmer dust – Twinkling
Nights
Step by step
tutorial:
Add some art stone here and there in front of the base for more texture.
After
drying I paint the roof with Tangerine chalk paint and used other colors as dry
brushing for rusty, mossy effects and highlighted the texture on roof (Patina,
Shy Olive, and dark brown).
In front of the base I’ve apply Fuller’s Earth
chalk paint first. Now I want some spray colors effect with chalk paints so I have diluted the other colors (Patina, Tangerine, Shy Olive, Gunmetal and dark
brown) with little water and apply the colors as my desire look.
Colored a piece of gauge with same shades of colors and add it in front
for more grungy effect.
Now I’ve decoupage two sides of the bird house
with lovely decoupage paper.
Add
two wooden fences, one in front and the other one side of the base. Applied
texture paste onto the fence for texture and then color them with chalk paints.
Also add some glimmer dust on tiny birds on one of the frame.
I’ve
fussy cut all the leaves and red berry and one big bird from the paper set. Decoupage
the bird in front of the house as 3d decoupage technique.
Stick
all the leaves and berries to the hose mainly roof and front. Add moss and
sisal fiber for more natural look to it.
Now I’ve add some flowers. Any beautiful projects aren’t
complete without beautiful flowers as our nature incomplete without the lovely
flowers isn’t it? So I’ve decided to make my own flowers for this project and
add them onto my bird house.
Here are more pictures of my project. Hope you all like it.
