Hello
Crafty Peeps,
Myself Semonti Roy DT member at The Element
Craft Studio. Today I’m here with my first DT post of a decoupaged vintage
organizer on TECS blog.
I’ve
used lots of beautiful products from TECS. Products are listed below:
Now
I’ll share step by step tutorial on the same.
As we all know, TECS MDF base doesn’t need sanding
at all so I have directly applied chalk paint onto the surface. For coloring the
base I choose 3 colors. Used gunmetal first then applied other 2 color as dry brush
and brush stroke techniques. I prefer color first then decoupage. I decided to
decoupage with 2 different design papers which came in same paper pack.
Measures the place where I want to decoupage and then apply decoupage glue onto
the specific area and decoupage the measured papers.
Front side color
After Decoupage---
Distressed
the entire base edge with brown archival ink.
I
have decided to add some clay relief pieces on the base. Then color the clay
work with same shades of chalk paints and highlighted with bronze metallic
color. Also stamp a vintage car with black archival ink in front of the
organizer.
Took
wooden cutouts of gears from the pack and color it with same colors. I have
used metal leg for the organizer and dry brush them with patina chalk paint and
highlighted with bronze metallic color.
Created
texture use modeling paste mixed with gunmetal chalk paint with stencil in front
of the base and added a vintage clock pocket watch hanging with metal chain.
Before
adding charms and legs I have applied two coat of acrylic varnish. Now finish
my project. Hope, you all will like my project.
Thanks and happy crafting.
