Royal Lady Treasure Box

Hi all crafty lovers, I am Anika. I am really excited to share the tutorial of my new TECS DT project with you all. I wanted to thanks TECS team for their amazing products and quality. You can not stop yourself being creative when you have such amazing quality products in your hands. In this blog, I am going to share the tutorial of Royal Lady Treasure Box. Let's start the tutorial with the list of the material we need for this project. Here is the list-

Varnish
Resin embellishments
Ball chain
Black oil color
Pearls

To start the project first I remove the lock and hinges from the box. then I had stick the ball chain on the borders of the box and paint the box with light grey color. For light grey color i have mixed AnRa crafts pale azure and white color together. AnRa Crafts chalk colors are very smooth, just one coat is enough to give the perfect surface.

I also colored my resin embellishments in grey color.

I have used beautiful AnRa Crafts " I Love Paris " decoupage paper for this project. I had stick the paper on the all four sides and inside of the lower part of the box . I had cut the lady face for the upper part of the box. When the resin pieces got dry then i arranged them on the box and stick them . When the color got dry then i gave a coat of varnish on the box.

To highlight my resin decoration I have used black oil color. I paint the embellishments with black oil color and then i rub them with the wet tissue to clean the extra color . I did the same process with all the resin embellishments.

Then I decorated the front part with pearls and highlight the surface and all the resin parts with AnRa Crafts frost silver chalk paint. For inside i did stamping on the four corners of the box and stick a decoration peice in the middle. Now its time to add the lock and hinges back. And then Igave some final touches with silver color to complete the box. Hope, you all will like the project.

Handyman for Letters

Hi all dear crafty lovers, today i am going to share the tutorial of vintage letter rack.

Another wonderful DIY base from TECS… TECS bases are beautiful  and at the same time very useful too. Stylish and sturdy wall mounted mail organizer with two pockets , provides great convenience and functionality to keep your mail, letters, small documents and catalogs etc in one place with easy accessibility. Let's start with the list of material we need to create this project-

Mod Podge
crackle medium

To start the project, first i applied the barley green chalk paint on the back piece of the organizer. After drying the base color i applied crackle medium on that and then painted soft sun chalk paint as the top coat. I just wanted to give the feel of crackle effect , so did not use very contrasting colors.

 pic of crackle effect

For the front rack pieces , I applied mod podge on the surface and covered the surface with TECS bordure decoupage paper.  I gave distress effect with archival brown ink on the sides .

After drying the mod podge, I applied varnish on the front rack peices. Then I have used golden color outline tube to highlight some lines of the paper designs and decorated it with wooden cutout and metal vintage knob. I also colored the ball chain in brown color and stick that to give the border design to the flap pieces.

To give the back piece little darker effect, I did dabbing with brown color. Then I  assembled all the pieces together.

To give the final touches to my project, i applied brown color distress effect on the sides of the organizer and decorate it with resin embellishments.

For resin embellishments, first I applied the gesso on the pieces and then color with brown chalk paint and gave some highlight with golden color.  I hope, you all will like the project.

Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. all suggestions and reviews are welcome. Thank you for reading my blog. HAPPY CRAFTING to all crafty lovers.

Thanks,
Anika

Love Packed in Box

Hello guys,

I am Back on TECS, this time with a gift idea for Mother's Day. Mothers are everything to us and I am sure, none of us would like to leave a chance to make them feel special . Let's get going !

To begin with I have a beautiful carved box from TECS, all their products are super strong and smooth.

There is no need of sanding required. Using the stencil, I created some texture on the base.

Now,  once the texture paste is dry,  varnish on the texture,  so that it doesn't spread while painting above.  Now I painted the whole box with this beautiful wine red chalk paint from Anra Crafts.

Using a decoupage paper,  I pasted the inner base with these cute deer's..  Looks like a mom and daughter to me ☺ isn't this print beautiful?

Now the top flap of the box I applied crackle medium and painted with a cream for the red cracks to show.

I took one more decoupage paper with beautiful flowers and randomly cut them to do volume decoupage.

Pasted the fussy cut flowers on to the sospeso sheet and fussy cut and embossed them to make a beautiful floral arrangement for the top of the box.

Added some pollen and pink glitter to add some interest.

Finished the arrangement by adding a sentiment "Memories" In the center.

So,  this is how the box looked once done.

Now,  to make it look more vintage,  I added these metal legs from the Anra Crafts metal embellishment collection.

I totally love the outcome,  and hope my mom would love this too 🙂

I hope you like this project.  Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.  Thank you for stopping by!
Until next time..  ❤

Ancient Time Teller

Hi all dear crafty friends, Anika here with an out of the box project for you all---Ancient
time teller...

A very beautiful base designed by our dear TECS team.  TECS team designs always amazed me with their details and inspire to give our best to make the project beautiful. Hope, you all will like the tutorial. So, lets start dears with the list of material that we need to make our project -

List of material used from TECS---

Victorian Clock Base
Victorian Border Stencil
texture paste
ball chain
Varnish
Crackle medium

In this project i did lots of stenciling (my favorite) and coloring. TECS stencils are very easy to use. Their transparency helps you to arrange your stencil in exactly at the place where you want them.

To start my project i took the front part of the clock and divided that roughly according the stencil designs that I wanted. once i got satisfied with the designs, i did my stenciling with texture paste and paste the ball chain with mod podge around the edges.

For the middle part , I have used Buddha decoupage paper. The particular sitting posture represents PEACE and Blissful--the house may be blessed with his blessings.

On the right side of paper ,I have used gloss gel to give some texture effect. for the dial part, i gave crackle effect with barley green chalk paint and pasted ball chain.

After drying the gloss gel completely i gave shading with metallic bronze and red wine color and wiped the extra color with wet tissue.

For the dial part, I colored the dial cutout with red wine chalk paint.

For the front i colored all with soft sun chalk paint. to prepare the base also, I paste the lace and ball chain around the edges and color all with the same color chalk paint.

After drying the color , I did two coats of varnish on the front part and leave that to dry complete. When the varnish got dry , I applied the red wine color on the stencil parts and wipe the extra color with the wet tissue. I did the same process 2-3 times , until I got the desired results. I gave crackle effect on the top and bottom of the front flap like we have in buddha pic and highlight the stencil work with red wine chalk paint. I have pasted the metal knobs both of the sides.

Now its time to paste all the parts together. I have used wood glue to stick the front and back parts together. I applied wood glue on the sides of the back part and paste the front part very carefully . Align the both parts very properly otherwise it will be difficult to get the parts get fit in the base slot. place the clock machine in the clock and cover that with acrylic glass. i used resin embellishments for the top design to give it vintage look. I applied the primer first and the gave two coats of red wine chalk paint and highlighted the curves with bronze metallic paint.

Then i fix the parts in the base slot and gave some final touches with bronze metallic paint to give shine my time teller.

Hope, you all will like the tutorial. Please give your valuable reviews and if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. Thank you all for reading my tutorial. HAPPY CRAFTING TO ALL MY DEAR FRIENDS.

Reading with Roses --- Shabby Bookmarks

Hello Craft People 🙂

Manasa Priya here with a quick DIY inspiration for this month's blog challenge at TECH - anything goes shabby chic using atleast one element from the Element Craft Studio.

So, as you all know I love shabby Chic style and using distressing with flowers and the likes.

That has what has inspired me to create these quick bookmarks.

Do I have taken the MDF bookmarks from the store and decoupage them with the fairyland scrapbook paper. It is full of beautiful quotes, sonnets, little fairies and I really love the prints. And it's got beautiful coordinating element sheet as well.. Which we can fussy cut.

Then I added washi tapes in the empty spaces and distressed the edges and stamped randomly to make the background a little busy.

And I assembled all the elements using some foam tape to give it a dimension. Now comes the star of the show, the beautiful flowers.. These are the newly launched paper flowers from RECS. Look at those pretty colors 😍 these are super cute and goes well with any projects

I finally finished it off by adding some embellishments and stickers and ties laces over the top.

I hope you enjoyed looking into this project ☺ please do participate in the monthly challenge to win some amazing prizes.

Until next time.. ❤
